How you can make the most out of this site

A week after launching Pat The Wine Guy, we’ve gotten great feedback.

And a number of questions.

Here are some answers and, more importantly,

here’s how you can get the most out of our site.

We’re offering free advice, highlighting good wine buys and where to find them in the Portland area.

That’s it. No hidden agenda.

Many people have asked, “how are you making money on your site?”

We aren’t. But that’s not the goal.

We are trying to build a base of followers and a local wine community.

So if you like what you see on the website, FB page, Instagram, etc.,

please pass the word along to any of your wine drinking/wine buying friends.

How to use the site

Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of each recommendation for pricing and availability.

“Good wine that you can find” is a big deal for us.

We don’t check every store and every shop for every wine every day.

We do check prices and inventory as often as we can.

We’ll continually update our information, letting you know the exact date when

we saw a specific wine in a specific store.

If you visit a store and don’t find the wine we recommended, we apologize.

Here’s where you can be a big help.

Please let us know where and when you could not find one of our listed wines.

We’ll update the website ASAP.

We don’t have a Pat The Wine Guy app. Yet.

In the meantime, you should be able to access the website on your mobile device

and scroll through our multiple recommendations while you are in a store or wine shop.

If you’re having trouble accessing the site while shopping, please let us know.

Our goal is to make the wine shopping experience faster and more efficient.

Best way to make that happen is to make it easy for you to get to the website,

wherever you may be. It’s not flawless now. We’re working out the bugs. But we’ll get there.

Finally, if you have any feedback on the recommendations or any other information on the site,

just let us know.

Cheers!

The staff (all two of us) at PTWG
