A good sub-$15 Cab! Josh Cellars 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

Can you trust “best buy” wine lists?

They aren’t 100% perfect.

But when you’re searching for

good bang-for-the-buck wine buys,

“best buy” lists are a great place to start.

It’s Wine Thursday!

our weekly good-wine-at-a-good-price

that-you-can-find recommendation.

This week, we’re touting a cabernet

that shows up on numerous “best buy” lists,

Josh Cellars 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon.

I’ll admit that when I’ve been out shopping,

trying to navigate the dreaded wall-of-wine,

I’ve looked right past this one many, many times.

“It’s a sub-$15 cabernet.  How good can it be?”

Actually, not bad.

It tastes like vanilla, which is very typical for cabernet.

It also tastes like strawberry and/or blackberry,

which is un-cabernet like.

But it works.

With light (again, by cabernet standards) tannins,

this one is an easy drinker.
