27 Jun For Wine Thursday!, Bonjour, we’re checking in from a few thousand miles away
Happy summer!
Depending on where you’re located,
it might not feel like it…
…but here in Paris, there’s no doubt about it.
It’s summer…on steroids.
We’re running around France,
watching Women’s World Cup action and trying to beat the heat.
The thermometer hit just shy of 92 degrees (33 C) today.
Even the Parisians, who wrote the book on being cool,
are complaining about the extraordinary heat.
Today’s Wine Thursday! recommendation
would work perfectly here today
or wherever you may be
during the upcoming summer months.
A TO Z Bubbles Sparkling Rosé
It would be an injustice to call this “cheap and cheerful”.
While it is both a terrific buy and an easy drinker,
it’s very well balanced,
with fruit flavors and acidity in proper proportion.
It’s a food wine (think salmon). It’s absolutely a party wine.
For the next few months of warm weather, it’s a no brainer.
You can find A to Z Bubbles Rosé at Costco for $11.99,
at Safeway for $13.77, at Fred Meyer for $13.79,
at Bale’s Thriftway and New Seasons for $14.99
and Whole Foods for $16.99
More missives from France on the way
and of course,
another Wine Thursday! coming next week
on the 4th of July.
In the meantime, au revoir and Go USA!
