If you can’t get out, don’t run out. Wine shipping recommendations!

During these unprecedented times, we’re all making sacrifices.

But going without wine doesn’t have to be one of them.

2018-03-09-Wine-Delivery

Wine delivery is nothing new.

But with the sudden onset of shelter-at-home and social distancing,

retailers and wine producers have made it even easier

for you to receive a box of bottles

without ever having to leave your casa or your car.

I’ve researched dozens of delivery/pick up options.

Here are some recommendations.

Willamette Valley Wines

With most of their tasting rooms now closed,

Oregon’s Willamette Valley producers have quickly pulled together a program

of shipping incentives, wine discounts and special gift packs.

If you like pinot…and supporting small businesses…look no further.

There are too many offers to include here.

Go to the website for a complete listing.

Wine.com

Wine.com calls itself “the world’s largest wine store”.

It is a safe bet they have any wine you’re looking for.

The ordering process is simple.  Shipping is fast.

Your favorite wine at your favorite store might be a bit cheaper…

but you can’t beat the convenience.

K & L Wine Merchants

K&L has over 2000 wines under $25.  We’ll drink to that, right?

K&L also has a stellar selection of more expensive wines.

If you’re in San Francisco or Los Angeles,

you might qualify for free local delivery.

Check out their site for more information.

I’ve purchased wine from K&L for years.

I’ve never been disappointed with price or process.

Vinopolis

Based in Portland but with years of experience

working with customers around the world,

Vinopolis knows wine shipping.

They have a $25 flat-rate shipping fee for California customers.

During the month of March, they’re running an Oregon shipping special:

free shipping in Oregon for $120 minimum purchase.

They also have a special curbside pick-up program for those in Portland.

While Vinopolis doesn’t have many sub $20 bottles,

the selection between $20 and $50 is outstanding.

The selection of Burgundy and Southern Rhone goes deep.

And I don’t know of any shop that carries more rosé…year round.

If you need a rosé recommendation from Vinopolis, contact me.

I’ve tried many of them.

Kendall-Jackson wines

This is the best combination price & shipping deal I’ve seen from any winery.

But you’ll have to act quickly.

For the rest of March, Kendall-Jackson is offering 20% off

every wine in their portfolio with free shipping for any order of $75 or more.

Kendall-Jackson has always been a Pat The Wine Guy favorite…

good wine at a good price that’s easy to find.

K-J’s  bang-for-the-buck is even better given this current discount.

This could be an opportunity to re-stock your stash.
